We came across an article today about a bikini that develops "malignant moles" on it the longer you are exposed to the sun to encourage/scare you into spending less time in the sun.Would you wear this for any reason whatsoever?

I guess there are still enough stupid people who need a splotchy bikini to tell them when they've had enough sun. On the other hand, creating hysteria about a little sun exposure is not right either. I knew a girl in highschool who never went in the sun. She was so pale she looked unhealthy.
Hey, what's next? A martini glass that leaks vomit after the third refill? Seriously people...
I think there needs to be more awareness about skin cancer but I don't think putting moles on swimsuits is the solution. I stumbled across a blog belongs to a girl who's 28 and dying of melanoma. (She is so sick now that her husband is updating her blog for her with her progress and her prognosis is very grim.) I didn't read all her entries but it's a very scary disease. Skin cancer is the #1 killer for women between the ages of 25-29.
A lot of people don't understand or don't care about the risks of skin cancer associated with sun exposure. Sunlight can improve your healthy by triggering the production of vitamin D in your body, but just like anything, you can't have too much of it. There's a balance that people needs to consider.
Back to the post...I think people needs to be more aware of their health but I don't think mole-y bikini is the way to educate people.
The mole bikini idea is hilarious (as is mamaluv's martini vomit glas)!! I doubt that these ideas would market very well, but they are indeed clever. They get points from me just for that.
