This morning after attending an event for Lancome and the launch of their newest innovation (a vibrating foundation!), I impulsively picked up this statement necklace from Anthropologie.
I was so excited when I saw it in the store but then I got home and now I'm just not sure. Is it too much for my wee upper body? I tend to buy classic clothes and have a lot of black in my closet so I thought this might spice it up. But when I put it on the husband pulled a face, which really blows when you bring home something new you're excited about, doesn't it?
Since I have no shame, I hit the posing wall and hoped you lovelies could help me decide. Yay or nay?
P.S Comments on my frizzy hair are not welcome. It's raining today ok?

You all suggested I try another neckline and put my hair back, so here it is. I think it would be even better with strapless but I generally wear straps. I think it looks miles better but it's still a whole lotta necklace!

I say it would be a hot necklace with your hair up and a really simple neckline, maybe a mock neck, boat neck or strapless.
Love the color! Since you are slim and petite, I feel that the necklace overwhelms you.

Yes! A simple neck would display that necklace totally differently. It's a stunning piece, so it shouldn't compete with anything else.
Gorgeous necklace. I would totally get this too, but I agree with Rachelekehler - the necklace may have suited better with a different outfit. It may also be better on a person with broad shoulders so it doesn't overwhelm the whole chest area.

I tried it with another neckline and I think that looks better but it still is quite a necklace.

I think its a really fun necklace. Have you watched Gossip Girl lately? Serena has been wearing the giant necklaces with simple tops and I think it looks amazing!
Yes, I like it definitely with your hair pulled back! Big necklace on a petite woman sounds like a no-no, but I think it works! AND I agree on the GG reference, Curlysue!

I love the necklace! I think it does look betetr with a simple neckline but I would keep it!
UPDATE: So girls, I kept it. I ended up wearing it out last night to an awards show and got oodles of compliments. Thank you all for your opinions and sweet comments!
