When you get to states far away from those bordering Canada, a Canadian "accent" can be very identifiable.  Even though Canadians speak the same language (w/ the exception of Newfies :P), there *can* be a noticeable difference in pronunciation.  My colleague across the hall is from Toronto and I hear it in him every day. :-P  But its no bother.  I like it!
